Hi all,

It is claimed that a blow to the C3 - C5 vertebrae causes instantaneous death due to the nerve innervating the diaphragm and thus preventing breathing.

Could someone please explain why it causes INSTANTANEOUS death as opposed to slow suffocation?

Thank you all in advance.
