I am wondering the same thing about Semmelweis Oath; I have no idea what to wear :/

If nothing more specified, then in general this means classical dressing: suit and necktie for men, formal wear for women..

you do not need to wear a suit or tie, if you decide to then go ahead, some people just wore formal long sleeved shirts with black trousers, alot of us wore white and black, i wore a white shirt with a black skirt during my time in 2008 but what ever colour you choose to put on is fine.

Can we bring a bag with our stuff? Maybe I can bring a suit and just take off the coat if no one else is wearing one.

Also what exactly do we have to do? Do we have to walk across the stage and shake someone's hand? Or do we all just go up and say the oath?

Thank you guys for your useful answers.

no you won't walk to the stage and shake anyone's hand, u seat down for almost the entire ceremony except for the oat taking aspect, you can bring a bag if you choose to, and pls go early cause i remember back then the hall was not enough for all the med/dentistry (and i think pharmacy) students. I had to stand(my legs really hurt cause i wore heels), some people sat on the steps. Also study really hard know almost all your oral topics in the test and exams cause all the exams apart from cell biology, physics and the electives are oral (except in premed)...goodluck
