Faculty members along with the school's administration will welcome new students and provide on-site assistance after the first few days in Curacao. Orientation is scheduled for September 12th at 11.00 am.
The one day of orientation will challenge and encourage you to find out more about yourself, meet new people, as well as explore the campus and surrounding area.
Your participation at new student orientation means that you are indeed serious about your education and meeting some very important goals in your life. At CMU, we are committed to supporting your dreams and career goals.

The information provided in this orientation is intended to highlight some useful information. There is however, much more information which you need to know and strongly encourage you to become familiar with the university catalog and the semester class schedule. These two documents will provide you information necessary to guide you in becoming a better informed student, understanding the CMU's program offerings, available support services, academic policies and expected students conduct.

Our goal is to provide you the best written information to enable you to make informed and factual decisions. However, we welcome any questions you may have. Please feel confident in seeking clarification from University administration when you are not clear of the programs and rules. We appreciate the opportunity to serve your educational needs and wish you the best success at Caribbean Medical University.

how did it go?

:D It was absolutely awesome! Had fresh donuts and beverages early so that we could all mingle and get to know each other. We started right at 9:00 am sharp. All students had orientation packets which included their class schedules, campus maps, Curacao maps and key points, entire student FAQ handbook, dorm info, bus transportation info, coupons for local businesses for the students, general Curacao info for shopping/entertainment, notepads and pens, and ID's. The administration welcomed everyone and covered important school information. Then the SGA covered lots of stuff: elections, welcome party, ASMA, White Coat, etc. Then reps from immigration and health insurance spoke. Had a short break with drinks and snacks. Then a "Study Tips For Medical School" seminar was held- that way the new students could hear good tips and recommendations from older students and faculty regarding how to be successful in medical school. That was a huge help. Lots of great ideas and "heads up" for the new students. Then we had a great fire oven pizza buffet. Then we had a bus rented for the afternoon which went to the main points of interest for shopping (grocery, general, household and school supplies) and for some sight seeing. It was a great day! The students loved it. Everything was on time and organizedl Everyone was very pleased and ready to start! We really have a fabulous, sharp group of students and we are all extremely pleased with the faculty! It will be a great semester!
Which we did today and it was really great!
Thanks for checking! You will enjoy your orientation in January!!
