I know there is a school bus that drives the students to the campus and is there any car rental nearby the school for use in the weekends? How much is it? Thanks

When I was there there was a car rental in WTC so we got cars from there sometimes. It was about $25 per day as far as I remember.

Hi Verokmed, There are several car rental places here including one at the school in the World Trade Center. I am not sure how much that particular one is. I am currently working on establishing a number of discounts at different area businesses for our students. One of which will be a car rental place. From what I have seen so far they run from $30 up. The longer you rent one, the cheaper it is. Many times a group of students will go together and buy a car, split the cost then sell of their interest when they leave. Much cheaper than renting all the time. But I'm working on that. Also, the bus system here is really good. The run constantly to anywhere you want to go, grocery, beaches, etc. I have put together a "fun" map of Curacao for you. It shows you where everything important is in an easy format. From entertainment, gas, beaches, groceries, phone services, etc. You will find that just about everything you can want is within a 5 minute walk of the dorms. Downtown, grocery, pharmacy, gas, food, movies, etc. There is also a beach across the street from the school. Only the further beaches would need a bus. So you are really in good shape with the school bus. I'll keep working on the cars.

Hi
How much is the transportation fee? Is it per month or per semester?

Hi doctobe80, I'm not sure which transportation fee you are asking about. If it is the school bus, to and from school and the grocery on Saturdays, there is no charge. If you take the local buses around to different places on the island those are just a few dollars depending on where you go. Hope that helps :)

The school bus is free unless the school decided to charge some kind of transportation fee.

They are a very good group of people. I have found that they are doing their very best to keep cost as low as possible, we don't even have to pay for copies and they let us make free calls to the US from the office. t's nice because all these little cost can really add up fast and on a students budget, every cent helps!
