Hi,

I don't know if this is a stupid Q, but here it is...

Why does a partial biliary block produce an ascending biliary infection (acute ascending cholangitis) and a complete block (obstructive jaundice) doesn't?

Also, where is the pericholecystic fluid found, around the GB?
