Hi,

I am from Canada looking at applying to this school, does anyone know of anyone who has graduated from here, gone through residency and is successfully practicing in Canada at present, any info would be fantastic!

Thanks

If you're interested in Saba, go to their website and read every word on every page. You're proposing an endeavor which will cost a lot of money - research, research, research. (The same applies for the carms.ca website if you're interested in returning to Canada).

The website lists 2010 Saba residency matches showing one person matched in anesthesiology, a couple in family medicine, one in gen surg, a couple in internal medicine, one in psychiatry, and one lucky Saba grad got one of only two IMG plastics spots in the whole country!

http://www.saba.edu/saba/images/Forms/2010_residency.pdf
http://www.carms.ca/pdfs/2010R1_MatchResults/IMGs%20by%20Region_1stand2nd%20Iteration_en.pdf
https://w1c.e-carms.ca/pdws2010R1-1/jsp/pd.do?p=p1&m=1

The last link shows the available residency positions for IMGs in 2010 across Canada; 2011 numbers aren't up yet, but probably will be similar.

So basically it would be extremely difficult to practice medicine in Canada after finishing med school at Saba?
