Hi,

I've been invited for an interview with the University of Limerick in Ireland (being held in Toronto on April 2nd) and I was wondering if anyone has interviewed with them before? Or, if you're already in the medical program at the University of Limerick, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks.

I will be there on April 2nd as well, but my friend interviewed with them last year and was accepted.

I'm also going for an interview, but on Apr 3rd. If someone has interviewed with them before, it would be great to hear about it.

That's excellent. Are you staying at the Sheraton? If so, they have a good rate for those of us coming in for the interviews. It's $165 plus tax per night. Just let them know you're with the Atlantic Bridge group and they'll give you that rate.

Really? I had no idea about that rate. But yes I am staying at the Sheraton, but I used air miles to book my flights and the hotel so I didn't really pay that much anyway. When are you getting there? Apparently there weren't any flights from Saskatoon to Toronto on April 1st, so I'm flying out on the 31st and spending an extra night and day in Toronto.

Lol. That's funny. I'm from Saskatoon too :) I'm also flying out on the 31st. I'm on a WestJet flight at 11am. I get into Toronto at 4pm. I'm also leaving Toronto on the 3rd. Small world, eh?

Yeah for sure! Are you at the U of S right now? What was your major?

Yea, I'm at the U of S right now. I've completed a BSc Honours in Microbiology and Immunology and I am currently working on a BA Honours in Psychology. You?

Yeah that's me. Did you apply anywhere else?

Yea, I applied here in Saskatchewan but I missed the interview cutoff by about 2%. It sucked :P You?

Really? What was the cutoff this year? I missed it by 1% last year and was pretty choked. I got an interview this time around though. I also applied to American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten and was accepted yesterday.

But off this year was 82%. Congrats on the acceptance. I looked at the Caribbean universities but there seems to be Canadian residency issues with all of them except for St. George's. I'd rather go to Europe anyhow. How did the U of S interview go?

Honestly, Europe or Caribbean are all going to have the same residency issues since we are all going to be international medical graduates. So either way, we're at a disadvantage for leaving Canada. But you're right, I'd rather go to Europe as well so I'm hoping Limerick accepts me. U of S interview is this coming sunday for me.

Received an invite today as well!

Does anyone know what the interviews will be like?
