Any suggestions on things to review or study before starting your first semester?

Anything you wish you had done before getting to Cayman?

Nothing connected to the course per se. It might do you the world of good to get into some good philosophy and do some self development.

Start here and see what happens...

Hope this helps

If you want to do something for yourself take up philosophy or start collecting butterflies. If you want to do something about your classes then start reading the blue boxes in moore's anatomy.

i actually recommend learning your anatomy and phys as best as you can. take an intensive course at a local college. this will put you ahead of the game. you won't have to dedicate 80% of your first term studying to anat and can really learn histo, etc, which will ultimately help you with patho. also, learning physiology will help you during that course, and free up your time to attack the others. sitting on your hands will not only do nothing but it will give you bad habits and not get you on the right track. best of luck, PM me if you have any other Qs. and welcome to SMU

the research course that is taken in the first semester, what type of information is learned?

Learn the anatomy of the arms and legs, in particular any clinical correlations pertaining to nerve damage. This is what will be tested on your first anatomy exam.

Is it true that in the RH/RS, you are not allowed to have a wireless router and you have to plug into the wall with an Ethernet cord?

Hey, I was just accepted for Fall 2013 MD at SMU. Is anyone available that I can message some questions before I make my final decision? Thanks

Hey Seemi, I was accepted into the program, and have tried to get in touch with other students, but I have not received any messages from students. I tried to reach out to someone via facebook, and I got this one student that claimed she was in a MD school in the US, but transferred to SMU. I'm skeptical of that decision. I was accepted into UMHS, and rank UMHS over SMU right now.
