Hi,

I'm currently living in India and I am planning to move to Australia. My background is that I have an MBBS from India. If I move to Australia, my question is
1) What is the scope of a doctor with an Indian degree?
2) Am I able to get a job there easily at a preferred city hospital or will I need to travel to remote areas?
3) What additional training will I need to undertake in order to become qualified as an Australian doctor?

thanks in advance

hi, seeing that no one has replied, I'll try my best to answer it. In Canada, states you have to go through 1-2 yrs education plus residency. Although not at your preferred hospital. Most likely in an underserved area.
I would also highly recommend that you find out university or med college located in the area you are moving to and ask questions directly. As it is impossible to find the correct answer, it is better not to rely on forums. You can 'google' it and mostly it will pop up a lot of info. hope it helped.
