Hi Every One,

I am a new member and have been studying this forum for a short while now,

I am at this current moment finishing studies in the UK and would like to continue study for dentistry in Poland.

I would like to make contact with some one who is either wanting to study in Poland for Sept 2007, or is already studying in Poland.

My concerns are:
1-Which University would you recommend?
2-What are the entry requirements?
3-What is the issue on Rascism? - I am a Bristish Asian

I would like to enter on a 5year English Dental programme and would like to connect with any person out there or thinking of going to poland.

IS THERE ANY ASIANS OUT THERE ???
EVERYONE PLEASE HELP TO MAKE MY DREAM COME TRUE.........

What are your grades in Chemistry and Biology like? I am guessing that you have failed to secure a place at a British university to study dentistry?

If you do decide to go abroad you need to ensure that you have the ability to succeed academically as well as all the rest. Remember, many EU schools will take you onto a course eaven if they think you won't be successful in completing the first year - purely as a source of revenue.

Good luck

As I have said to another prospective foreign dental student, do you understand the stigma attatched being a foreign graduate?

I recently worked at a Royal children's hospital, where a lot of Jnr. Doctors felt that they had a superiority over other UK grads, never mind the foreign graduates. I would expect it to be somewhat similar within the field of dentistry.

Maybe take an undergraduate degree and apply as a graduate? I take it that you havn't applied for any dentistry courses this year?

As far as I know there are lots of dentists from Poland working successfully in the UK and they are good specialists. The English programmes in dentistry are quite young and I guess they do not have any graduates so far.
In Poland there are only 4 medical universities offering dentistry in English:
Szczecin, Poznan, Wroclaw and Lodz.
Here you can read about the entry requirements at Szczecin:
Pomorska Akademia Medyczna - Szczecin (http://www.pam.szczecin.pl/index_en.php?cid=693&unroll=190)
And the links to other medschools:

Was it hard to get into the dental school? How are the academics and the town area? Is it hard to get flights out?

I know that I want to get into dental school in Poland but I need some help with the application process. Any advice on that?

Thanks alot.

Hi
As far as I've heard it's easy to get into the dental school in Poland. On the website of the university you can find all the information connected with the application process. And you can always phone to the dean's office with additional questions.
You can also contact with some students of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin on Facebook:

Good luck!
