Hello

In CCS,
if you see a patient in office/home with the need to be admitted, could you admit the patient straight to ward or must go through ER as in the read world?

Thanks a lot!

My experience is: If you have admitting rights to the hospital then you can admit directly to the floor. In some of the cases I have seen: If you have to send to another hospital for admission one of two things happen. You get someone over at that hospital to admit the patient (the specialist) to admit directly. Sometimes they will have the ER take a look, evaluate and then get someone to take the patient. The only reason you would transfer in a case like this is because your hospital does not have the resources for the patient.

To make it simple on CCS (which I am studying right now) just admit to the floor or unit (CCU, ICU etc.)
