In response to quite of few people who have been inquiring about housing in Aruba, I have found rent to be comparable to rent in the US. The other thing you should know is that quality is not as good but is functional. Most consider it part of the sacrifice in obtaining a medical degree. Average prices for apartments are as followed:

studio: $400-500/month excluding utilities
1 bdrm: $570-600/month excluding utilities
2 bdrm: $570-700/month maybe more depending on area (excl. utilities)
3 bdrm house: $1300-1600/month excl utilities

That seems good for now. If there are any other questions pm me.

The utilities can make a huge difference. At Glenn's apartments, they are only about $50, making a studio apartment $600, and a one bedroom $650. In Punto de Ori, The utilities are $150, making the studio $550, and the one bedroom $700. And of course at Andicurri, ******* Arends tries to screw you over, so you end up paying twice as much so he can pocket half your money. All these apartments are in walking distance of campus, and the ones that are in driving distance can be cheaper.
