i recently found out that i will be starting my medical school career this fall. i'm excited and my boyfriend of 3 years is very supportive of my goals to be a doctor. unfortunately, just like many of you with significant others, our relationship will become long-distant while he reamins in the United States and i in Dominica. just to prepare ourselves mentally and emotionally for our extended time apart, i found a very useful, simple book: The Long-Distance Relationship Survival Guide: Secrets and Strategies from SUccessful Couples Who Have Gone the Distance by Chris and Katie Bell. I know it sounds very cheesy and very common sense, but it's been a life-saver and i have been able to gain a lot of excellent insight, and hopefully you guys with SOs that will soon be left behind, will be able to find this book helpful to foster your long-distnace relationship, too. good luck!
