A coup d'état (pronounced /ku de'ta/), or simply a coup (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/coup), is the sudden overthrow of a government (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government) against the volonté générale (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volont%C3%A9_g%C3%A9n%C3%A9rale) (general will) formed by the majority of the citizenry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citizenry), usually done by a smaller supposedly weaker body that just replaces the top power figures.

Could you please explain?

OMG. Here I thought that I was in the presence of those seeking to heal the sick and cheat the Grim Reaper.... But rather, I find people theatening me with cyber-murder (shudder).... Guess that'll be reason enough for a coup d'etat of my own.

Still doesn't make me any wiser as to the deeper meaning of this thread.

The students of SC seem to be doing a magnificent job of getting together and doing what it will take to save the school. I am aware of only superficial details, but suffice it to say they seem to be on the right track. I hope all goes well. G

Yes. But lets see what the regulators say.

Ah! Interesting (do you have to kill me now, then?) ;)

I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens, then...

Yes. But lets see what the regulators say.

That will be the big question. I suspect some of the damage is irreparable. The blame seems to rest solely on the shoulders of just a few individuals. With the right backing, though, the school has a good shot. Just my opinion. We will have to wait and see. G

something tells me this will work out for the students still at the school, but I wonder how they will solve the rest. One option is, like others have hinted at, to relocate the school to another place. Should they still choose to stay in UK and stare the GMC in they eye and laugh, then I don't know what to say.

I have many friends at St. Chris and they're just like other medical students to me.

But the admin and their cheerleaders would certainly burn forever if I was God..

That's not the coup I'm worried about for SC. What's the word on all the recent troubles?

It would be cool if the students could pull together and save the school. But how can they keep the admin from lying and taking short cuts in business...they'll just run it off the cliff again if they don't turn over a new leaf and change their evil ways. They still have false titles before their names posted on the school's website. They appear to be running things business as usual. No public apologies....no nothing.

From what I know, it sounds like they are covering that base. G

Since the cat is out of the bag, I going to make a comment which no one as made yet.
Everyone on this forum is talking about anything but what important.

The Senegalese and the administration (we all know who that is) have been fighting for the millions of dollar which this school generates, for over 5 months and have lied to all about the damn letter which was in transit to the ECFMG(what a joke) To this day, no one has made a statement on what they have planned. The NJ office is clueless, ECFMG is a joke (collector of fees with no guarantees of licensure) and the saviors (the Senegalese) are yet to do anything to inspire confidence that this will ever get resolved. All I can say is at some point the word FRAUD will have to be used.

Marconim, let me take a dip in this sess pool.

[WARNING: This is total speculation on my part, but as a former SBA - Starbucks agent , it's fun to do.]

Maybe the Senegalese wanted the "ADMIN" to think the letter had been sent; all the while the Senegalese were planning on what to do next.

Making the "ADMIN" sweat over this was a smashing succsess, it seems this letter was actually a test of wills between the Senegalese and the "ADMIN". (of course the students paid the price of addmissions).

Here is an easy one folks: if the person/people in charge of "dolling" out all of that $CASH$ , was "dolling" it out evenly, would there be a battle of wills between Senegal and ADMIN?
