    i think the only difference is that brown fat has more mitochondria than white fat. brown fat is found in kids, white fat is found in adults.

    Brown fat is found in the shoulders of adults and throughtout infants. It acts by uncoupling the ETC in order to increase heat for infants (or hibernating animals) by utilizing energy from the ETC instead of producing ATP. I think this is correct.

    Also, brown fat contains multiple droplets of fat and white fat cells contain a single droplet of fat (unilocular fat cells).

    brown adipose is found in regions which are more active!
