between shreveport, metasirie, and lafayette, you can do everything. we've had many people match into texas programs for residency as well.

that's a very good question. i actually don't know if it's greenbook. i would have to assume it is since it i affiliated with a US medical school though. unfortunately, i didn't do my rotations there so i don't know for sure. the school really does not offer non-greenboook rotations, so it would be safe to assume it is greenbook. i do believe thre is a waitlist or the rotations. but if you book something that is not waitlisted while booking something that is, you should be okay, but you have to plan way in advance and some people don't like doing that in case they need unexpected breaks.

    Re: LSU-Shrevport Rotations

Compared to the cost of living in Chicago or Atlanta, I would think the cost of living in Shrevport area would be less. Of course, it may depend upon specific areas in the city one resides.

But generally speaking, Shrevport area may be less expensive. Let me know if any one has experience in looking into the above costs.

    I appreciate your input.

I'm currently a student at AUA. Just finished up 5th semester and preparing for my step 1. I am a resident of Louisiana, and am looking to practice there eventually. AUA has no rotations available in Louisiana, and I am looking to do my rotations in the state of Louisiana. Is it possible to transfer right into the clinical program at your school. And if so, can I do all my rotations in the state of Louisiana. Thank you.

It's possible. I believe you have to take Step 1 first.
