    Does AUC transcript show percetange?

    Advertisements

Does anyone know if AUC official transcipt show percentage you received for class or just simply HP, P, and NP?

I'm just wondering if a 89 would actually make a difference or it's gonna mean the same thing as 70?

It shows only F, P, H and I. Not supposed to show any numbers, class ranking, etc.

And there is no difference between 70 and 89. Just ask Micro...

If you fail at AUC, SGU, or Ross why not transfer to SMU, if you fail at SMU, why not try another SMU.

Speaking of transfer, did you know what's a safe cut for USMLE given that the chances are slim?

I've read couple schools who accept FMG but they all just say "preference is given to students with above 200..."

By the way....does AUC GPA effect your clinical rotations? or USMLE is the primary determining factor for everything (Residency....etc)?

There is no way anyone can give you a "safe" USMLE score in order to successfully transfer into a U.S. school. It all depends on how many spots are open, who else applies at the same time, your overall application (some ask for undergrad grades, MCAT, grades at AUC, etc.), who you know, and other factors as well.

The only school I know of that gives preference to students above 200 is NEOUCOM. With that said, they will take your application and money, but there is by no means a guarantee that you'd be accepted, especially since a 200 is several points below average on Step 1 (217 was the average when my husband took the exam).

    To answer your other questions...
No, your grades at AUC will not effect your clinical rotations, well at least your core electives. Every school has a different application for electives so it's possible some may want to know your grades, but I'm not sure about this. Some schools, however, will definitely want to know your Step 1 score for elective rotations.

they don't do percentages so the 2 or 3 digit score can't be converted to a %.

Are you referring to the second number given on the Step 1 result summary? If so, a 217 is probably about an 87-88, but this is just a guess. Rrod is right, there is no percentage or else 217 would have been 50%.
