Just curious to find out what you all have planned after the formal education is done. Family medicine? ER? surgery? Radiology?, etc.

If you fail at AUC, SGU, or Ross why not transfer to SMU, if you fail at SMU, why not try another SMU.

The Mr Islandwife is pretty fascinated by Pediatric Cardiology, most likely in Cali. He is keeping his options and mind open though - Oncology and Pediatric Endocrinology interest him and seem a natural fit with his biochem background.

I am pretty early in the game, but I am looking mostly at internal medicine and/or psychiatry. In some ways it would be nice to do both since I know of a few programs that allow that, but I am not sure what the benefit would be of doing both. Clinical Pathology also seems interesting to me, but am not interested in anatomical, so don't know about that. Anyhow, for me, both Psychiatry and Internal medicine look interesting. I especially like that with Internal Medicine you have a lot of options of different things that you later can pursue.

    stefan

I'm looking into going into orthopedic or neurosurgery. But, maybe dermatology, I'm not sure yet. I might just throw all these ideas away and match into a top radiology program.
