    Another dang loan question...

    Advertisements

I searched everywhere and can't seem to find the answer. I was wondering when people leave the island and don't take step one for three (or two or four) months after finishing fifth semester, do they still receive loan money? Is there a certain time you must be enrolled in clinicals to receive loan money? Thanks for any help.

    Hey Rock,

You have to be enrolled in clinicals for a minimum of 8 weeks in order to be eligible to receive loans for that semester. So, for us, that is by July 2nd. Otherwise, you have to wait until the next semester starts. This was what I read on the schedule and timeline from the MEAS guys.

trust me... burger flipping will make you feel like you're doing alot more than what you'll do your first week of clinicals.

yeh until you learn to tell the nurses "NO" and the interns "dont you think doing a sonogram of the gallbladder is a bad idea since they had a cholecystectomy 15 years ago and the RUQ pain could be do to hepatitis?"
