    white coat

So is this thing mandatory? Seems kinda hokie (spelling?). Now I'm going to sound crazy, but I'm paranoid about anatomy at this point. I planned on being in the lab from like 5-8 just about everyday including friday which would be during white coat. I already feel behind and think I would have to study friday night during the after party. I feel like I'm rambling on right now, but basically again, is this white coat stuff mandatory?

I don't know if its manditory or not, but coming to the white coat ceremony is a tradition. One thing I have learned that our memories and experiences are what defines us. I know I am making every effort to pass my classes (hopefully ) just like the rest of us are. Medical school is not easy and requires a lot of work, but don't forget that to have some fun and make some memories along the way. Besides, when its over what do we have but memories.

I believe it is mandatory. Free food afterward, how can you lose?

You're also supposed to sign the honor code thingy there as well. Besides which, it's kind of a rite of passage type deal. Everyone does, like poop. You might not like it, but it's gotta be done.

As for anatomy, it may seem like a lot (though in reality, anatomy doesn't have that much you have to learn in comparison to the other classes you'll be taking, not to freak you out), but it's delivered in bite size meals, and as you go along, you'll become more efficient at studying and start looking for ways to ditch!

i think you should have some fun and relax for a night. we were all once stressed about anatomy but this is a once in a lifetime event. a few hours won't hurt... it might actually help to destress you.
