so hwo does it work? like in undergrad?

    sept - dec - 3 months of studying + 2 weeks break

jan - april - 3 months of studying

    may - aug - 4 months brea

    ?

Well, for one, there are three semesters a year at AUC and some of the other Caribbean Medical Schools. This enables you to finish the portion that is on the island quicker, etc. Semesters start in September, January, and May. They have rolling admissions, and they advise people to get their applications in 4 to 5 months ahead of when you want to start. The website for AUC has this information and you should really get the fact from them or otherwise contact them (they have contact information on their website). There are things to consider when applying for the various semesters. For one, some semesters are harder to get into then others, and secondly, some can make it more difficult to match a residency right away. But I wouldn't worry about the timing of matching a residency too much because often if you have any problems or delays at all, you may end up having to way a little bit to match a residency anyways. Anyhow, call them, check out their website, etc. to find out the info. They can better help you than us.

Oh yeah, there is two week breaks between the semesters, and there isn't really many if any days off during. . . but it is med school, and most want to get it done when they can, etc.

There aren't many days off during the semester? heh.. try just 1! And the vacations are uber-short!
