just make sure you park in an actual pay spot, because all of a sudden they are towing like crazy over there. and, it costs $75 to get it out of their impound at the airport.

    Parking at the airport...

I will share my story of the airport. Me and some friends stayed over break last May to have some fun. We were going to visit the US Virgin islands for two days. I parked at the airport and left my truck in the pay parking for those two days. I checked on the prices before I left and was told it wouldn't be over $25 to park there for several days. Well, when we got back I pulled up to the pay booth and handed the guy my parking ticket. He then said "that'll be $117 sir" I almost threw up. I told him I refused to pay that much and read on the sign that a lost ticket was a max of $40. I told the guy just to chalk it up as a lost ticket and he said he couldn't do that b/c he already punched it in the computer. I reversed back into the parkin lot to contemplate my next move. To make a long story short, I pulled back up to the window and the guy said "just give me $50 and I'll let you go". I ended up payin the guy this outrageous amount when the guy had just told me he couldn't do anything about it a few minutes before that. BE WARNED that they will charge you by the hour and if you leave it there the entire break, you will be in for a hefty price when you get back($1 an hour for three weeks). The airport pay lot is a trap so don't leave your car there.

    taxi

Wouldn't a taxi be the best way to go? The most I've paid is $17.00, at 5 am, $14 plus $3 tip for 5 pieces of luggage. They usually quote me $15 before 5 am but I have gotten it lower. I have been charged between $8-$12 for a trip from the airport to the school.

Just curious............what is the proper amount to tip a taxi driver for the US or anywhere? Is it 15-20% of fare or $1-2 per piece of luggage?

The parking lot is completely safe man. Cars and valubles are untouched and it is well lit with security cameras and all that jazz.

Truely, you can leave your car there. I've done it a few times and it was safe.

Tip what you feel is right for the service. Bad service = no tip. A tip is a gratuity and needs to be treated as such.
