    Lack of clinical spots available

    Advertisements

I received the following in an e-mail. Is this true/agree/disagree, etc?

The problem with AUC/ROSS is that they take in more students than they can handle ofr clinical rotation in the states. They promise everyone clinicals in the states, but in reality they for eg take in 150 students and may only have 75 spots in the USA for there clinicals, thus only the top 75 get a spot the others have to wait. The clinicals are what entise students to come to there schools but many do not know the tricks they play.

    Complete **

Absolutely not true. There are actually spots in the US for both schools that go unfilled. I work at a hospital that is a clinical spot for both schools. We have been taking students from St. Matts to fill the gaps. G

    Agree -- it's a hoax

Now I do have to clarify and state that it HAS been true in the past at AUC -- but not for 10 years or so. There are now way more slots than students to fill them.

    word gets around

you do not build multi million dollar campuses by screwing 150 students a year!!!

after 20 some years, the word would get out.

these schools have incorporated lots of US trained MD's on staff at fine US institutions, to help improve the clinical programs.

the goal is to train successful graduates, to eventually attract more students and make more money on tuition.

you do not do that by screwing half the class
