hey quick question guys. Do you think that taking some courses at a junior college will look bad? I was planning on retaking organic I & II as well as physics at the junior college. I was also planning on retaking the MCAT. So my question is, will it look bad that I didnt take these classes at a university? Thanks guys. Good luck

my husband is a 1st semester, and rumor is that the academic standards for admission have been raised slightly.

A bit of encouragement - he did all of his undergrad at a JC and transferred to UC Davis for upper division. His GPA was 3.7, he had several interning experiences with doctors and hospitals, good volunteer work, great LOR's, overseas humanitarian work, and a good personal statement.
The only thing he lacked was a stellar MCAT score. He was holding down 3 jobs, 17 units of upper div. of biochem, and interning at a hospital when he took the test. Needless to say, he didn't do as well as he would have liked. Even with below-par MCAT scores and a JC transcript, he was accepted very quickly.

I am really glad things turned out the way they did. We think of this as an adventure and our family actually wants to come visit. It wouldn;t be like that if we ended up in Ohio like we thought.
