    campus village I and IDL

    Advertisements

    hello

I got a question about IDL at campus village I

I have heard that the whole building is wired for IDL.

what are the set-up fees? (i heard it was 75 for set up and 50/month)

how much does the service go down? how fast of slow is the service?

I was told by swimguy that you can use vonage with the service.

At campus village I is it better to stay with IDL or get Caribserve?

    thanks all

I don't know about the set up fee since I transferred from the dorms to CVI with IDL. And yes, the whole building is wired for IDL, you just plug your computer straight into one of the wall jacks.

IDL has been going down quite frequently as of late, and has been noticeably slower these days. Maybe 60-70kbps

i'll tell you this I didnt mind IDL, towards the end I was able to use vonage agian. If you get caribserve you cant use vonage unless you purchase other equipment for like 100 bucks or so i dont know. Also, when my fiancee (at that time just a gf) were living in separate apartments, i had IDL and she had caribserve.....she didnt seem to have as many problems as I did and had better customer service, but caribserve had big setup fees. I moved form bleu azur to campus village so i had a transfer fee, i dont know abotu the setup fee but the building is wired for IDL
