    Looking for Brian and help

    Advertisements

Hi guys, I know this sounds a little crazy, but I need some help. I just got back home from St. Maarten and had a great time, except for my carry on bag being stolen at the Maho. I had all of my personal information in it, including a copy of my lease and contact info for the Flamboyant apartments. I am wondering if Brian (remember you talked with me and my boyfriend on Monday?) or anyone can pm me with Rosannas e mail or phone number. My cell phone is also gone and I needed to know what brand I will be able to use there, Nokia, Sanyo, etc since I have to buy an new one. Thank you so very much for any help. Oh, I think Rosanna also manages the Campus village and Blue Azur if that helps. Thanks Again, and looking forward to seeing you guys in August. Any potential students can also pm me with any questions about the island, campus, etc we drove everywhere. Sorry I can't post any pictures, but my camera is gone as well.

    trip

Sorry to hear that RnGirl1....really sucks when that happens, but don't lose your confidence in starting a new life in St Maarten. There are a.holes everywhere in the world. As for the phone, I think if you get an unlocked cell phone, you can purchase a SIM card from most any cell service in the world (about 20 dollars), and then you have a local phone, instead of paying roaming/long distance charges evey time you call your friend down the street. This way you can do the same thing when you go back to the states, or whereever you end up....only problem is that your number will change with each new SIM card, but it's not that big of a deal....you can also purchase one locally, probably quite cheap with a local plan?

What did you think of the island? Typical Caribbean island? Anything stand out as awesome or aweful? Would like to know your general impression of the people, school etc. Thanks, and hope you get things straightened out with the loss of your baggage.

No Brian is not Korean. His wife is a student and he works at the school. Would anyone be willing to get Rosannas e mail and pm it to me? She works in the solutions management office downstairs in the Blue Azur apartments. Thank you so much. By the way, Sprint, Cingular and Verizion say I cannot use their phones in SXM, so where do I get a phone to bring down?

    Unlocked cell phone

Get an UNLOCKED GSM phone....tigerdirect.com has many different kinds, or go to a cell phone store and asked for unlocked phones. They should be fine in SXM.

It is also possibe and quite cheap to have your cell phone 'unlocked' if you already have one....most unlocked ones are quite expensive, but not all of them....the (can be) comparable to normal phones, but there are a few that are very high end. Not all phones can be unlocked, but the majority can.

Ah, you need to get ahold of Note Service. I believe he works there.
