A question for people who have (or are applying) applied to AUC

    Advertisements

    Hi,

I've recently applied to AUC via inline application and my question is, the application didn't ask me for a listing of my extra curricular activities so I did not list any. Was this a bad idea and should I send them a list of my EC or should I not bother, I would like to know what others have done.

    Thanks in advance.

When I applied last year I did the whole fashioned way, by hand and printer. Best contact MEIO, I'm sure you can send in your CV to them by mail to be added to your application packet.

    YES

SEND THE LIST BEFORE YOUR APPLICATION IS SUBMITTED TO THE ADMISSIONS PANEL.

    ...

I remembered my application was completed by paper, and I had to include my CV and other things along with the paper application and mailed them in. I suggest you call MEIO regarding mailing the CV, but I'm pretty sure you need to submit your extracurricular activities and other documents by mail because med schools want to look at those things.

    ec

Your personal statement should be a great place to list your ECs. Donít go down the line and list but try to mold your ECs to the theme of your personal statement. I really canít remember if AUC had a separate section for ECs but they do require you to submit a resume thatís another place to list your extracurricular activities as well.

    include

That could have beenincluded on a CV, resume, or in the personal statement. i would send an email to your advisor and attach an updated resume/CV -- say that you didn't see an appropriate area to pu tthis in your app. It helps them to know that you're a real person, who is involved.

I have heard from many surgeons, and their elders, that the playing of video games really improves hand-eye coordination -- I was told I should play more of them..... I haven't had time yet, but I will.
