I applied to both schools with similar stats, except my GPA was higher; I was rejected at both locations. You may want to consider other Caribbean medical schools.

the GPA is low but not a deal breaker. they would probably recommend their basic science prep work shop. Also you could take 2 graduate classes to improve application. hope this helps.

As an AUC grad almost done with residency, here's my take:

Take some extra classes and bump up the GPA. At this point, don't go to any but the big three Caribbean schools (AUC, SGU, Ross... possibly Saba), as the competition will be fierce for residency slots as it is in the upcoming years. Otherwise, try for DO or even PA.

The advice would be to try DO before coming to the Caribbean.

    US MD>DO> top non-Carib MD (India, Pakistan, European)>Carib MD>PA

No one knows for sure how the competition for residency will be in the future. His gpa is way too low for any PA school. Why are you giving such bad advice to someone who is seeking real feedback?

I doubt the OP is still looking for an advice since original post was 8/20/14.
