    Financial Aid spreadsheet

    Advertisements

    So,
I tried to make a spreadsheet to see how much money i would owe after 4 years of school and 4 years of residency if i were to make no payments.
I also assumed that i would be taking out the max amount per semester/year.

Please correct me if i did the math incorrectly.

Wow, looking at the money I/we owe always makes me depressed...

    Anyway, my thoughts:
-There are 3 semesters per year, not 2
-Total Semesters at AUC is 9.5 not 8
-Tuition rises by $1,000-$1500 each September semester
-Beginning July 1, 2012, there are no more subsidized loans. So, Any semester after that will have all Stafford loans as unsubsidized
-There is a Stafford loan limit: Total Amount Cumulative $138,500 (maximum $65,500 subsidized;includes Stafford Loans received for undergraduate study); If you hit this limit, all future loans are Plus loans.

max loans every time? damn. My last disbursement check was like $2500 because I had so much left over from taking max loans first term.

Stafford cap is $224,000 for "health professionals." Its more relevant to US students who can borrow an extra 20K per year on Stafford (US/Canada/Puerto Rico) thanks GWB for fing us.

Unfortunately know this because I will be busting your cap due to grad school....
