    AUC Interview

    Advertisements

Iíve read several different threads about AUC Interviews. Some are older than others and each seem to say different things. I wanted to make my own thread on this because things may have changed over time.

People seem to indicate that AUC has no interviews while someone indicated that AUC is moving towards having more interviews. A certain few people seem to tried pride themselves on not having to have an interview by saying the interview is for borderline applicants. Iím not sure if those who get an interview are borderline applicants because some of these people seem to have good stats.

I was wondering if the interviews are more so for a student to explain his/her background such as a leave of absence or some sort of trauma. Is it a random process for some individuals?
Would appreciate the responses from students who had interviews are known people who have had interviews. Also, do you guys know how many people get rejected after an interview or what are the chances of being rejected with an interview.

Every situation is different regarding interviews. If you'd like, you can speak to our enrollment manager, Sekou Smith. His number here is 305.323.6649. His email address is [email protected].

I had an interview and I just started this past January. It was a phone interview. From what I believe, they interview applicants that may have discrepancies or unusual things on their application. For instance I had a good MCAT score but my GPA was extremely low so I guess they just wanted to ask me about that.

As an alumni of AUC who now stis on the medical admissions committee of an American medical school, I think that this practice is dead wrong. All potential applicants should be interviewed (this may have prevented some people who were clearly not mentally prepared for med school to gain admission). Not interviewing canidates perpetuates the idea that carib schools are diploma mills. I am appreciative of the great education AUC gave me, I just feel that in this instance their practices need further review.

we actually had a guy kicked out 5th semester very recently. He never failed a single class but was apparently extremely mentally unstable. Gone right before completing basic sciences! An interview would've probably helped in this situation.
