    Transferring to AUC for clinical?

    Advertisements

    Hello everyone,

I'm interested in transferring into AUC for clinicals. I would like to know if anyone knows the average usmle step 1 score and grade point average to transfer into AUC? Has any student complained about the clinical placement ? Also, is the clinical placement and location determine how well you do on your usmle step 1 score?

    Thanks!

If you are doing this for licensing I think you should doublecheck as I am pretty sure it has been posted on here before that you cant get 50 states by transferring to a Big 4 school for clinicals.

On the rest clinical placement is a very personal thing and depending on your needs/desires you could be very happy (NY) or likely pissed off (specific location and not willing to wait a bit). Sites are first come first serve after submission of Step 1 scores, not sure how they would treat a xfer as I have never heard of one. That being said I would be surprised if they don't take you if you have good scores because the school PRINTS money on the clinical rotations.

    Hi nj07200,
You should contact our enrollment managers to clear up any questions you might have re: transfers. The number here is 305.446.0600, or 1.866.372.2282.
