    TOTAL NEWB- Questions

    Advertisements

Ok. I am sure this has been posted before but I cant find it. First post on this forum so hey guys whats up!?

    Anywho.

Is it still possible to get accepted to AUC (or Ross) for this upcoming fall? Or is it near impossible at this point. I cant find any deadlines on the site (I could be blind).

My stats are average (3.1cum/sci and 22P MCAT) but I have amazing extracurriculars. 1 publication in J Neuro and 3 personally aquired research grants one from Howard Hughes Medical Institute... around 5 lab presentations at conferences. Also a year of hospital volunteering.

    Thanks for responses in advance.

You would have a better shot at the january semester. Generally you apply 6-8 months before the semester in which you want to enter. As a side note, if you apply late, the better your gpa and MCAT are, the easier it is to secure a seat. Your gpa is on avg but you have a low MCAT [avg is around 26], so applying for the jan semester would increase your chances. As another side note, post this type of question in "what are my chances" thread.

I think you still have a shot for fall semester. There is a rolling admission, so there is not really a deadline besides the start of the semester. There is definitely no harm in trying. Good Luck!

Where do you take your USMLE 1?

After the 5th semester at AUC do you have the option of going back home to study and take the USMLE step 1? If so does that mean you get roughly 4-6 months time off to prepare for the test and take it?
