    Criminal Background Check

I heard that AUC makes everyone get one as part of their basic application process into their med school, is this true? or do they make only the candidates with a high chance of admission do it?

I think I had to do it once I was accepted, but it was only a letter from my local police department in order to get the visa issued. But, I think there is something pretty extensive that you have to do before you start clinicals.

Nah, nothing extensive. They just make you forward a more recent police letter.

They did a background check for me in addition to the letter from the police department. Im pretty sure it was standard procedure when I applied (Jan 2010) but maybe not...?

basically you got the police station and they run a check on you in the area you live. It is not like and FBI detailed check

@font-face { font-family: "Cambria"; }p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal { margin: 0in 0in 10pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; }div.Section1 { page: Section1; } I know when I was an orientation advisor one of the incoming students I was assigned to had his acceptance revoked because the school found out about some public intoxication charges on is record. I’m guessing he didn’t list them in his application.
