    keep options open

    Hey fellow AUC'ers,

its interesting the paths that we take and what opens up in each direction. As i always advice everyone to keep their options open this last year has been insane. so going through residency i am taking some time for a research year. i am working on two projects that will hopefully lead to publication, and along with a group of fellow docs we are starting something that i have been talking about on here for probably the last two years.

a service to help put together a personal statement and eras applications for grads looking to get into residency in the states. i think its helpful for most gards to do this and specially for foreign grads and people who are not from the US.. i can't tell you how many applications we threw out simply because of horrid personal statements and an erratic ERAS application..most had decent usmle scores.

anyway any of you check out the site that went live today and give me feedback before we throw down advertiosing money. its a simple site straight to the point www.getaresidency.com

    peace

so always keep an eye out for opportunity you never know where your degrees will take you

Whatever university you're applying to, you should always have spare options when it comes to writing a personal statement. The first one is the most obvious: you can craft it on your own. Yes, that's not the easiest way but if you compose an impressing PS all by yourself, you'll be able to improve your writing skills and show the admission committee that you're capable of expressing your thoughts clearly and presenting yourself as a strong and confident candidate. The second option is asking your professor (if you know any from the chosen university), school teacher or advisor to help you with your personal statement. And the very last option (if none of the previous was effective) is using residency personal statement editing service which is also great as you can get a stellar PS from an expert in a short period of time so you won't have to worry about the deadline and quality of your content.
