Hey guys, I'm moving into the rising sun in January and just wanted to ask current/past residents of rising sun about what to expect/look out for/avoid. Thanks in advance!

    Look out for cockroaches.

GEBE sucks. Your water and electricity may also go out at any moment.

Look forward to paying rent by the 5th of each month.

I concur regarding GEBE. It is a utility company ran by an especially inept and lazy version Dr. Evil, with even less capable and even lazier employees. Their billing practices would result in arrests anywhere in the developed world.

Dealing with GEBE (and Mailbox for that matter) is as enjoyable as running a hose from your anus to a gas mask and wearing it all day after eating an institutional-sized can of refried beans and a head of fried cabbage with fried onions. And that is an understatement.

Seriously, they are a prime example of why I now have a timer counting down the seconds until the end of my fifth semester.

Avoid Rising Sun; it's the worst Solutions place (unless the newer ones have supplanted it). Tiny hot water heater for a three minute shower at best, tiny airco which can cool your bedroom if you leave the door shut and run it 24/7. No onsite laundry, crummy furniture. At least if you're in Campus Village you live in relative comfort for your exorbitant rent and poor property management.

If you're moving into #8, look forward to being vibrated by the generator for lagoon view and the coffee shop / solutions office.

Look forward to the Doberman barking, and the cats fighting over the garbage. In retrospect, wish I would have dropped the extra 200 to live in campus village. Live and learn.
