    Scotiabank and cashing refunds?

    Advertisements

I read somewhere that the school and Scotia have a deal worked out to where if students ask for a local check, they can cash it at Scotiabank. Will they really cash a $17,000 check?

I haven't heard of this. I did read you can have some of your refund split between US funds and Ec so you can cash it if you have an island bank account. However, it is strongly cautioned against doing this because of the unmonitored banking going on in the Caribbean. Just my recollection but I have seen it in the threads. Do a search and I know you will find it.

Thanks, Copdoc! BTW, I always perform a search first, often spending longer than I should, lol.

Oh, I 'm sorry. Didn't mean to insinuate you didn't. I have found searching kind of difficult myself and time consuming. If I find the thread, I will let you know. See you on the island.

"Tuition Payment to Start" is the thread title under AUC that I was talking about. Maybe that will help. Enjoy
