Arbor Estate Apartments - Is this a decent place to live?

    Advertisements

    Hi,

I am starting out in the fall and have just been notified that the on campus housing is full. I have been calling people from the apartment list that the AUC housing department sent me. I have found a studio at Arbor Estates for $1050 a month. Here is the posting:

Arbor Estates: Available now: Studio, within walking distance of AUC, includes all utilities and cable, $1050/month

Is this a good deal? Also, the apartment is on the first floor and that concerns me a little. I am going to be living by myself and wanted to know if this apartment complex is safe?

    Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Arbor Estates is very nice. I live in there and never had any issues since living here for almost a year. Its close to school, has a pool, 24-hour security and gated. You maybe looking at the studio that is actually below me. If you have any other questions let me know.

Anyone out there think this is a good deal at $1200 a month?

The utilities will run about $175 depending on how much you use the AC.
However, the owner of this apartment has only one meter so the bill is shared between the two apartments.
The address for arbor Estate is Jordon Drive, Lowlands, St. Maarten, N.A.
This apartment is on the ground floor right next to the pool.
The owner prefers a lease of at least a year long.
    Cable TV is included
There is designated parking in front of the apartment.

    Thanks,
    Allison

Allison's email only said ground floor next to the pool, but I think I found the ad from the housing office which says "available now".

What do you think about Regency Park?

    Thanks

I am signing a lease on 7A. I decided to pass on 6A and 5? (both studios). I decided the extra $$ was worth the comfort of a cheap couch.

"much better than any solutions building."

is there anything wrong with Solutions? or their buildings?
I'm looking into one of the Aventura Apartments... Is there anything I should know about?
