    yup, but not something you particularly need, imo. If you ask upper semesters who use mac, chances are they've got it.

    Thanks slevit1--nice to know it's not necessarily necessary but available.

    Also, I ended up with the MBP 17 w/anti-glare screen. Certainly overkill, but I couldn't help myself.

    Very nice. Actually, will be the nicest laptop on campus! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous. I still have the original 15" MBP. The only downside to macs being so reliable is that mine still runs too well to justify a new one. I would have gone for the glossy screen, but either is very nice!

    Sweet computer...

    I've got a new 15" MBP with the 2.66 processor...it's heaven =)

    As a testament to mac reliability, I'm coming from an old G4 dual 800 with a big HD cinema display and an old G4 iBook. Both run like new, but I thought I'd treat myself since this will probably my last indulgence of this sort for a while.
