Good question, I would like to know myself.

Wish I could help, but I'm not there yet. Some people have mentioned something about getting items shipped to campus, but I couldn't say for certain.

You go to The Mailbox in Simpson Bay. It's an easy to spot blue and white building on the left, shortly after you get into Simpson Bay. They give you a US PO Box shipping address. The cost is about $100 for the year. For that price, you get 2 lbs./month free. Anything over that is around $3/lb.

When someone ships you something from the US, they just ship to that address and they'll never know the difference. Within a couple days (The Mailbox gets shipments twice a week), it'll arrive on the island. You can pick it up in the store, or they deliver to AUC twice a week.

If you have something that cannot be delivered to a PO Box or that is particularly heavy, you can use 4 star cargo, which is located just before the airport on the right, in a building that is pretty obviously cargo shipping companies. They work the same, but you get a US address which is not a standard address. They do not have a membership fee, but they do charge somewhere around $18-$20 shipping fee for every package, plus approximately $1/lb. Although their rate is much cheaper, you have to always add in the shipping fee, which is per package. They also charge per dimensions, if the package is big but light.

For most things, The Mailbox is your best bet. For heavy packages or things which cannot be delivered to a PO Box, you can use 4-star.

The Mailbox has a competition PO Box program in the building to the left of it: at the Post.. If you have a car, it's cheaper... if not go with the mailbox because that comes to the school.
I haven't heard much about the new Post mail box except for the fact that it is much cheaper..

I believe that the Post is the SXM post office branch in Simpson Bay. If so, I'd be very careful with them. The SXM post office, unsurprisingly, is pretty atrocious. The Mailbox is definitely overpriced and badly needs some good competition. I hope that the Post is exactly the competition they need to lower prices (and maybe hire some friendlier staff), but I wouldn't hold my breath. My experiences with The Mailbox were not all positive, but they were at least reliable and relatively fast.
