Thread: Where is psych rotation in NYC??

The Psych rotation is in the Far Rockaway section of Queens. It is very difficult to get there with public transportation, i.e. you probably need a car to get there. The experience in the program is very variable, and depends on where you get placed (clinic, inpatient floors, detox, etc). In general, they treat the students very well.

The Far Rockaway program is accessible at the end of the A line - I did it for six weeks with minimal discomfort and no car.

Only thing I had to deal with are the homeless people, sketchy looking characters and the winter cold. The hospital is walking distance from the train.

Definitely dreading the cold...even more than the long hours and workload.
