    Falcon Vs. Pass program

    Advertisements

I know this topic has been covered before, IMG survivor had some great links like this one. However some of the responses seemed a little biased like they were from actual employees of the respective programs. I was wondering if any of the regular posters on here had any experience between the two. I'm leaning towards Falcon right now because its closer to home and they also just added Dr. Goljan to the lineup! If anyone has taken one of these, could you share what percentile you scored in (or at least pm me if you're ok with that) just so I can get an idea of which is better. I plan on doing a lot of Kaplan/FA/USMLEWorld next semester and I typically do pretty well on standardized tests but I really don't want to leave anything to chance, I think having a lot of that kind of structure would help me. Thanks.

very nice website for falcon......now they have dr golgan....wowzers!

so if you take the kaplan course in 5th semester, you would basically be taking the same thing over if you took kaplan, no?

I'd like to stay on the pass/falcon topic specifically and get some good responses on this thread b/c I think a lot of people would be interested. I didn't know 1st sem. did Kaplan now, if you meant 5th, I'm pretty sure theyre keeping it, just the vids in the comp lab, and they fly in a guy that is supposed to be great for some lectures from Kaplan. Q bank you have to buy on your own, but your Kaplan books/vids are included in your tuition.

We don't have Kaplan...i meant what are they gonna do about Kaplan in 5th semester, for current first semesters, since everything has been moved around and we now have basically a full semester of classes in 5th.

You will be able to choose any program you wish. The catch now is that you will have to pay for this on top of your tuition, and you will have to spend an extra month or two in preparation, unless you can squeeze it into your regular course work.

So you can buy the kaplan books, or you can purchase high yield, BRS, first aid, etc. This is similar to how it would work if you went to med school in the states.

Well that's too bad. Interesting how one of the few things that is similar to medical school in the states is a change that nets them more money.

Oh...and sorry, nl9569...anyone know anything about the Falcon / Pass programs?
