I obviously have no idea who it is, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. The word of one student against another probably isn't going to mean that much, especially when the student can't even sign their name to the complaint. Few things bother me more than an anonymous snitch. If you feel strongly enough to cause a problem, then you ought to feel strongly enough to put your name to it!

It's only causing a problem if you're a cheater or sign in for other people. To everyone else, it was a failed attempt at maintaining the honor code... If the person doesn't identify his/herself, they would be in violation of the honor code.

The honor code will get them. If not, the USMLE will.

do things like this ever effect the schools standing in the US or does this kind of just come with the territory of having a medical school?

This happens all the time everywhere, to think I was hoping to go through school without having to hear about this was so silly of me. Cheating is only cheating if a person saw someone and reported personally. I for one wouldn't want a physician who cheated on his physio or path treating me or my family. Last think I want is a surgeon who can't tell my renal vein from SMA.

Of course not. You don't want to be the guy who created drama for himself that didn't involve a hot female and too much alcohol. I just let standardized testing take care of them.

if it is for you, then thats great, but unfortunately to some people there are a lot of gray areas instead of black and white when it comes to something like this
