    Getting that phone interview!

    Okay, I called Dr. L a week ago and left a message and sent an email to get this phone interview started... how long does it take for him to call to set up a time? Its been a week!

    I feel like the class is filling up and I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for his call...

    I emailed him to set up the interview June 5th. He responded in 2 days. My interview is set for June 28th.

    Thanks shikima for the encouragement, and to davidlg16 who let me know that this guy actually does exist, ***** if you don't mind could you share your stats with me... mine are

    3.1 overall
    3.2 science
    4.0 masters in psychology
    30M MCAT

    DUI in 1998 when I was 18... 27 now.

    Get that record expunged before you start medical school. It might cause problems later on.

    I don't know if you can expunge a record like that on an adult. Have to find out what the state laws are regarding that. Might need to consult a lawyer on that too.

    Yeah I know, I've tried everything possible but PA doesnt expunge DUIs... so I'm stuck with it...

    My only hope is to be upfront about it, and the fact that it will have occurred ~10 years ago when I'll be applying for residency. I just hope that is not the reason they are not calling me back. Wish I could go back in time and beat some sense into myself...

    i know of several past grads with dui's in the past including severl member of the honor socity

    just be upfront and dont lie about it.

    Finally

    So Dr. L emailed me back... about 11 days after my first contact. But hey, I'm just happy he responded, towards the end I started to feel like a girl in high-school waiting for her highschool crush to call... and I'm a guy.
