Not at all too late to apply for Fall. They are still accepting applications for May, and that semester starts in a month.

    Hey guys,
I have a question about how AUC calculates the gpa. Are retaken classes averaged together (like AMCAS) or is the retaken class the only one counted (like AACOMAS)? Thanks!

That is a secret only AUC knows...

Mine was way different than my AMCAS GPA, and was different than SGU or Ross calculated it as well.

Haha I see, so let me rephrase then...did it come out higher or lower than AMCAS?

You will almost certainly not be accepted without a bachelor's degree. Your stats are decent, so you have a very good chance of acceptance, if you get a degree. The adcom thinks it's a bad idea to go to medical school without a degree, and they're right. It could potentially affect your ability to get licensed in all 50 states upon graduation. While they do technically accept people without a degree, I do not know of anyone that has been accepted without one and they almost never do it.

I tried applying without a degree also, and I had higher stats and more clinical experience. I was accepted, but with the condition that I had a degree. So, here I am, 2nd semester instead of 5th.

If you are planning on getting the degree and are just wondering if they'll accept you before you've finished everything (conditional acceptance), then the answer is yes...it's common.

Hey I am pretty much just kicking off but i want to know how i should approach this so i don't make any mistakes
i pretty much was lazy in high school i could get awesome grades when i tried but usally didn't
I am determined and ready to actually try at life

Seeing how i didn't do much in high school i'm not going to be receiving any scholarships and not going to get financial aid

So I have to began at a community college

So I am wonder if I am going to even make a blip on the radar in 4 years when i try or what.

And if it is possible to get in to med school by having two years of community college then what classes should i wait and take the pre-med class at the university or does it matter.

Or is it just a matter of grades if i get good grades i won't have to worry about much? I've been doing a lot of reading today any help is much appreciated
    thank you Seecat
oh and i took a couple of classes over the summer right after i got out and pretty much bombed them. I might just take them over but need advice thanks
