    Simpson Bay Bridge Times

    For those who drive across the bridge daily, how accurate is this info? (ie times the bridge is up). Thanks..


    Simpson Bay Bridge (Dutch side) is the main access into and out of Simpson Bay Lagoon from the Dutch side of the island.

    Bridge opening times:-

    Inbound & Outbound 09:30 11:30 17:30

    Bridge will be open for maximum of 20 mins

    I remember ... this one time.... on SXM at AUC... the bridge was open for 1.5 hours in the late afternoon during regatta.

    I think those are low season estimates. Maybe I will send the bridge operators a copy of that to remind them in high season......

    LOL. Yeah, in High Season the bridge opens plenty more than twice a day.

    Bridge also opens when one of those mega yachts come in... My landlord said it was like $1000 to get them to raise the bridge... which is a drop in the well if you own a $40,000,000 boat, you know?

    They have bars around the bridge to pass the time and with traffic, it is sometimes faster to take the french side around during high season (and slow season if slow island drivers are on the road).

    So if classes start at 8, should I still be affected by the bridge on the way to class, or is just the ride home that I should worry about?

    Only if you leave after 8am for yout 8am class.

    In that case : 1. Have you ever felt the need to Cut down on your drinking? 2. Have you ever felt Annoyed by criticism of drinking? 3. Have you ever had Guilty feelings about drinking? 4. Have you ever taken a morning Eye opener?
