Does anyone regret going to auc?

I was wondering if anyone regreted going to AUC? Do you think there are to many disctractions there to stay focused? What do you miss most about home (except family/friends)?
    Thanks

No regrets here! Ya, of course I miss home. We all do. But this is a part of acheiving the goal we set out for.

There are distractions anywhere you goto school, it's just if you choose to let them distract you.

More distractions than say if you went to Ross, much much less than if you went to a US school.

I find the internet more of a distraction here than back home. Back home you could click and forget about it, it'll do what you want and do it FAST. Here, you gotta click, make sure it loads, if it doesn't load, gotta click again or refresh. Wait for it to load. Wait for it. Or go crazy when it goes out because you really need to check something online.

Good point, but I used to get so pissed off at it, that I refuse to use it now. So, that makes it less of a distraction. My B.P. is back in the normal range now as well.

    No regrets

I went to SMU, but have no regrets. It was a fantastic experience; how many people get the opportunity to go to medical school and live overseas? As far as being a Caribbean school, I am glad the Caribbean schools are available. It allows us the chance to fulfill our dream when US med schools turn us down.

As long as you study hard, pass the USMLE and work hard in clinicals, there's no reason why you cannot be the doctor you want to be. You may not get a residency at Yale or Hopkins, but so what? You will still be practicing medicine. If anyone whines about not being able to get a residency at a premier medical center, then I have to wonder why they went into medicine in the first place.

I loved the experience at Grand Cayman and I would do it again.

I don't regret it one bit. I got to meet people I would be lifelong friends with and ended up finishing basic sciences without blowing any major vessels. but there are a few people that you wish you never met(eg. SOE)
Finally beat Super Mario Bros within 7 mins.
