Hi I am writing here because I am interested to applying to AUA. I would like to know more about AUA. Students experiences, curriculum, loans programs, accreditation , living on antigua island , USMLE past rates and anything else that can help me know about AUA.

I hope a current student comes on to answer some of your questions, but I know this site doesn't have the traffic it used to. You can connect with AUA prospective and current students on the student run Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/831525870242580 AUA doesn't control the content of that site, but I can add you once you make a request.

All your items will be addressed in our March 25th webinar. Alumni will be on that call and share their experiences. The webinar registration can be found: American University of Antigua (Medical School) - AUA

I'm always happy to answer any questions as well. You may message or email me: dhermon@auamed.org

I think AUA is a great medical school. Each year, the school gets better (both with residencies and with it's education). As a student, the biggest change you will face will be island life. The campus is on the beach! The most difficult challenge is constantly reminding yourself that you are there to study, but some days it is necessary to relax and enjoy Antigua. The new curriculum is set up so that you will be ready to do well on Step 1. The loan situation is pretty decent (it's based on credit score to qualify, you pay a small monthly fee for each loan you take out, big payments are deferred until graduation. The school is accredited for residencies throughout the USA. USMLE pass rates are 98% -1st time for students above B+ avg grades (that's all I know from the website).
