Questions about the teaching faculty at AUA

    Advertisements

I just read someone talked about at AUA, most teaching faculty are from India, and guy who taught biochem. has a phd in nursing from Germany. When i read the faulty page on AUA website, i found many are from US, but do those people actually teach those classes or their names are just there to make the school looks good? thanks!

Some are from the US, some are from India, some are from other places. They all teach fine; some better than others.

They have accents, but you can definitely understand them. Also, the German biochem prof you referred earlier does not have a phd in nursing; he has the equivalent of a pHD (in Germany) in biochem.

Honestly, many of the professors here do have accents, but I have no problem understanding them. When it comes to their teaching qualifications, I can assure you that most are overqualified in my opinion (many have both MBBS and MD degrees) ... I had the same concerns before I started here, but I couldn't be more satisfied now.

    fatwallet,
I went through the AUA faculty on the AUA website and I do know most of the profs listed...I do not know all of the profs listed but I am only in my first semester here. I can say this about the list: the professors labeled "Professor" or "Chair" do actually teach the lecture classes and the profs labeled "Assistant Prof" or "Associate Prof" teach the Small Groups.

    Hope that helps

    great say.
Someone the admission officer lost my transcript(s), that's ashame to AUA, that delayed the who process for almost a month. They said they didn't get my postbach and grad transcripts, then, I have delivery confirmation for my grad transcript, so she then said she found it, but I had to ask my postbach institution to resend it. I already got Saba's acceptance letter, still waiting on AUC, the school which I really wanted to go. But the whole AUA application experienece is not pleasant at all
