    So, I am new and I tried to search the threads to see if you can practice in Texas. I did see one back in 2007 saying if you want to practice in California or Texas you shouldn't attend here. However, I was wondering has it changed or can you get your license in another state and then transfer? If this has already been answered in depth, I would love the link to the thread. Thank you, it is much appreciated.

    Texas

    I think you can practice in TX if 1) all of your clinical rotations are ACGME cert/greenbook, or 2) you have completed a residency and received board certification in your specialty.
    To be sure, I would go directly to the Texas Medical Board site at:
    Physicians in Training

    and really study the eligibility requirements. There are lots of details regarding what they consider "green-book" for a rotation, which differ from other states' definition of greenbook.
