    I need help!!!

    Advertisements

I'm currently a med2 at aua. I'm really stressed out right now because I'm not sure if I pass my physio + neuro shelf. I'm currently taking a full load of classes and passed all my minis with flying colors, 2 As and 2 high Cs (68%, 67%) I'm on loans and i don't know how this will impact my life having to pay back all these money without any outside finance. I spent 4 months working my butt off to pass all my classes and just because I didnt do well on the shelf (of which 1/2 the questions were from topics not cover in class), i'm going to fail huhuhu. i don't know what to do......i feel like my life is over. I'm desperately needing help. Any advice on how i should approach this situation?

relax buddy. if you did well on your classes on the island then i'm sure you did better than you think you did on the shelf. Everyone I knew walked out of those two shelves thinking they failed and everyone ended up doing fine.

getting worried about something you don't know is just straight wrong..calm down...take a deep breath...if you did actually fail then there is no point getting paranoid about it..I mean its depressing and all but what is that going to do? instead, if you use your energy to think why you failed in the first place...then that will help you at the end....but until the results come be calm!!!

When I was on the island, according to Dr S, no one who was passing a class (via the mini's) had ever failed a shelf exam..And physio is always a hard shelf..you walk out of there saying you only got 30 q's right..and then wind up with a 75..

I can understand nervousness about Physio, but neuro did Dr. G not give his shelf review. Btw you can't fail if you were doing well in your class.

Mini averages dont say much these days. Only if you really did not have any studying "aides" can this be SOME sort of judgement.

So many people have Physio old exams, Neuro old exams, genetics stuff, Biochem stuff, get a 6x, or 7x average and then get a booty spank on the shelf.

If you studied, you would have had a GOOD idea at worst for most of the questions on the shelf. I know whos kid get over the minimum with no studying, but from simple recall of concepts learned throughout class.

If you have a 75% in the class and fail the shelf, or even get under 60, sorry you cheated during the semester.
